Auch aus größerer Entfernung nicht zu übersehen ... die drei unterschiedlichen Sämlinge.

Gut geschützt vor den 20 m hohen Pubescensbeständen ... wächst Typ 1 = 'Okina', im Herbst 2009 schon auf 4 m Höhe heran.

Dekorative Blattpanaschierung im Spätsommer.

Phyllostachys edulis f. Okina Typ 2

Dieser Kultivar ist ähnlich, wächst etwas langsamer.

Die Blätter sind nach dem Neuaustrieb

besonder auffällig panaschiert mit ocker bis rötlichen Streifen

Culms: internodes yellow-green; nodes green.

Foliages leaves: blade with nummerows green stripes in white ground, occasionall with white stripes a green ground.

In diesem Jugendstadium erinnern mich die Blätter an Pleioblastus Tsuboi

Wunderschöne, aber sonnenempfindliche Blätter				Hat ein Bambus mit so empfindlichen Blättern und einem hohen Wärmebedarf auch in Deutschland eine Chance mehr als 3 m Höhe zu erreichen?
